Carmel

    We spent the weekend with our friends who came in town to do a little birthday celebration.  While I know they love us very much, coming to our house for a 30th birthday celebration probably wasn't the top pick.  They had originally booked this weekend with the hopes of the Huskies playing in the Pac12 championship game which is played near our house. When the Dawgs didn't get in, they decided to come down anyway and make it a fun birthday celebration weekend.  I definitely would choose to go to Carmel for my birthday, so that's where we went!

    We walked downtown a bit and of course went to the bakery.  It was such a nice day that we also walked down to the beach.  The forecast about a week out showed rain this day, but thankfully it changed as the weather does a lot.  It was cloudy, but warm enough to not need a coat.  It was nice to for these Seattleites to get some Vitamin D.

   After some catch on the beach we went to Pt. Lobos to walk around.  We went further down then we had before, very fun to explore!

We love our friends and they love our kids like family.  We have been lucky with all of the visits!
