Spring Break with Popo and Gung Gung
We had Spring Break last week and it was Crazy Town. Not like, the college variety, but like four excited/happy/having too much fun kids around me 24/7. Seriously, not every sound is THAT funny. I don't know if it was because they were not at school or if it was because my dad and grandma were in town, but I was ready for them to get back to school! :)
My dad and grandma came in and we took her all around. Years have no hold on her, she was keeping up with us as we ran all around the Bay. It was really a special time for us all. Here's a little recap.
My dad and Hannah had their traditional race in the pool. Hannah has to give him a considerable lead these days.
We've been playing this game Mastermind and it is really fun! On the list of things to buy kids for their birthday...this is a good one, a homemade slime kit is not! Don't even get me started.
We went up to San Francisco one day. We walked around the Ferry building and it wasn't even 10:30 and the kids were already self-diagnosing their starvation.
Fast forward to about 11:15 and we were sitting in the burger place, playing games while we waited for our burgers.
Popo couldn't believe how they scarfed their food down and I couldn't believe how much she ate! I already know about my kids.
Four excited kids are not really small SF alley boutique shoppers, hence them being outside.
Popo played lots of card games with the kids and it reminded me of growing up and going to her house. My Gung Gung and her taught us Skip Bo, Hand and Foot, and did all sorts of crafts with us. We loved being with them!
Friday was beach day!
We also went to Capitola and she spoiled the kids with ice cream cones.
She showed the kids how to cut snowflakes and there is no shortage of paper cuttings all over the ground!
Scrapbook making
Couch pictures, Lee Family tradition. All the combinations and permutations, you think I'm kidding.
Four generations. Popo said she wanted to do all 4 generations and then looked at me puzzled and said, "Which kid should we choose to have in it?" LOL. Ava was already in my lap so she was the chosen representative. Not to mention she likes to be in EVERY picture.
My kids are so fortunate to have their grandparents and one great grandparent in their life. They don't even know how special it is.
Happy friday!
That is so special! I’m glad Popo went down there.
