Kauai love | Beaches
We made it to friday!! One week ago right now we had just arrived at the airport, traded our flip flops for tennis shoes, and said good-bye to our jeep that took us to all of our adventures.
I wasn't completely sure how to blog our trip, but rest assured you'll get a lot of pics, but not everything. Some things you have to experience for yourself. For starters, I am going to introduce you to our fave beach. We pretty much went there almost every day.
After we landed, we had to make a phone call and pulled over to this wonderful beach. Of course we had to touch the water and feel the soft sand beneath our feet. We made it!!!!!
After a couple of more stops...kombucha from a local juice place, pineapple, mangoes from a farmer's market, coconut, and you know the other essentials, we drove up to our condo. It wasn't ready yet so she told us to drive down the road a bit to hang out at the beach. After not finding parking at the more popular beach, we found Haena Beach Park above. At first glance it might seem like any other beach.
However, when you get in the water and look back at this, we were in awe. We couldn't get enough of this place!!! We always set up right near that bright yellow canoe. Just to the right a couple of miles (probably less), is the start of the Napali coast. The famous coast line and trails that we spent a couple of days exploring.
First day, first of MANY selfies! We did get some non-selfie pics of us two by some very kind people. We met people from all over the place this way.
This is the cliff wall across the street from the beach. When I tell people it is lush, I don't think they have any clue just how lush I mean.
Mike out catching a wave.
I was trying to find the rainbow!
This place was close to our home base, so it was quick to stop for an hour or two, morning or afternoon. Since we were still sort of on west coast time, we were up early and got great light. This was the morning we flew out. We had to get one last beach trip in!!
One of my favorite pics of my husband, the model, from our trip! He is so photogenic it makes me crazy, and it makes him crazy how awkward I am in pictures. All I know how to do is look at the camera and smile. That's about all I am good for. Good thing we didn't have a "formal" shoot like we did in Charleston. Cause I am still just as weird in pics as ever.
Happy friday!!

Disagree re awkward in photos. ;) glad your trip was awesome.
