Charming Charleston

I am not exactly sure how I am going to go about blogging our trip to Charleston, but I for sure do not want to bore you with a day-by-day itinerary.  I'm all about themes on my blog and so I figured that would be the best way.  What better way to start than to share the charm I so dotingly enjoyed for a week in Charleston.  That old historic brick just makes me swoon, throw in some black iron gates, shutters, chippy paint, and some foliage, and I absolutely die.  Before we got here, I was worried I was going to want to move here after our stay.  Rest assured, fam, the west coast is home.

After a couple of days of exploration and just soaking in the beauty, we spent some time capturing a small bit of the charm in a back alleyway.  I wanted to make sure we got some good shots of the two of us in classic Charleston form.  Remember, this is our 10th wedding anniversary and we were without children, so we were being romantic.  ;)  The random bits of charm we captured throughout the week are also mixed amongst a photoshoot of ourselves.

We literally found a random back alleyway.  I am so shy in front of the camera, but even more so in front of others, so this was perfect.  Not all alleyways were this pretty, but I am positive this was not the only one.

Being there during Christmas made the city even more festive and decorated.  If you can't tell yet, I was just loving it all!

Middle pic is an old house turned apartment complex.  Upper right is King St. which is the main street running through the downtown shopping district.

And, in case you were wondering, we definitely had some outtakes.  He was probably making fun of me here.

Trying to figure out my phone remote.  From afar.

And near.  Haha!

I kept seeing things that I wanted to take pictures of.  Everywhere we went, I saw potential.  But, I had to be cut off at some point and this was the last one I got after I begged.  I am so glad I am persistent, this pic is a keeper.  He's a keeper too.  :)

Happy Monday!
