Saratoga Montalvo hike
I am back catching up on our Thanksgiving weekend. Still on a high from it, yet it also seems so long ago. Blogging these pics are bringing back fond memories.
Saturday morning we went on a short local hike that we had yet to explore. We went into Saratoga, which is the next town over, and went up into the hills on a hike behind the Montalvo Arts Center. Gorgeous area and beautiful Redwoods to line the trail up to a spot overlooking the Silicon Valley. Definitely will do this one again.
Calvin taking pictures with his ipad. I give them Shrinky dink sheets that they decorate to make look like ipads and iphones and then shrink them in the oven so they are hard. Then they use them like they are real, taking pictures and videos, playing games on them. It's pretty funny. My dad thinks he's pretty funny too.
View along the trail.
Lots of Redwoods!
View from the top. It was a 2-mile loop and the kids hiked the whole thing.
Joel just loved holding the leash for Slater dawg. He kept asking about "Trater" in the days after Mike and Rachel left. So cute!
After the hike, we spent naptime in the garage doing a partner workout with everyone and spent the evening cheering on the Huskies to an Apple Cup win. It was another great day, with great people!
