Gung Gung in town
Before our next guests arrive, I thought I should share our time with my dad. He came in the day before Thanksgiving and stayed for a week. It was perfect because Mike went out of town for work and he was here to help me.
Joel just started riding a bike with pedals a few days before my dad arrived. It seems backwards, but he learned how to balance first on his strider and now he's pedaling. The next step is to take off training wheels, and from what we've seen with Calvin, it should not take him long to be riding without them.
She can't be left out of anything anymore. :)
When Mike was gone, I put my dad to work helping me make blocks for my calendars. Benefits for him, he learned how to use a new tool. :)
My shop--a family affair. My sister helps me with photoshop stuff and Mike usually does the wood work.
Calvin authored a book and Gung Gung was reading it.
The last night he was here he took us out to Taiwanese food. I had never tried Taiwanese dumplings. HOW in the heck do they get that broth in there? If you have never had them, you should try them and you will wonder the same thing.
While we were having dinner, Calvin was standing on his chair, reaching to hand me his bowl for more won ton. While doing that, the chair slid backwards, which caused him to fall onto the table and knock his water glass over. Falling made him lose his balance and ended up on the floor. Meanwhile, the now broken water glass, rolled off of the table onto Calvin's head. I jumped up to the crying little guy on the ground with water spilling onto his head from the spill and a small gash in his head from the glass. Never a dull moment.
Do you ever wonder how many pictures I take to get the semi-right one? Appropriate caption: Squirming Ava kicks Hannah much to her disapproval.
We'll get another chance for a perfect shot. Gung Gung will back again in a couple of months.
Have a great Thursday!
