Deer Hollow Farm

Last wednesday we had a low key morning and then took the kids on a bike ride at Rancho San Antonio.  Mike had never been and the kids and I have only explored portions as we were picture location scouting back in August.  Mike and I ran while the oldest 3 biked.  About a mile into the trail we were on is a farm that was a fun halfway rest stop.

New baby calf.

These kids pretended like they were best buds.

The reality was that the one on the taller stump was trying to knock the other off his stump.  Butting heads.

We almost missed the pigs.  Til we heard the snorting.

There were two and they were massive.  And so snorty.

There were also sheep and chickens to round out the farm.  Mike works with a guy who milks the goats and gets to take home cow milk too.  This was another fun morning adventure.  The kids totally loved racing us as we ran and we realized how much fun it is to run with the whole fam.  We will have to do it again (wink wink, Mike)!

After the farm, we went into nearby downtown Los Altos, had lunch, and then went to my favorite store.  It is still a distant second to Impress, but The Makery is the cutest I've found down here.  It's a crafty store and was close by so I couldn't drive away without stopping in!
