Valentine's Day

I have a gazillion pictures to pour through before I blog our trip. In the meantime, I thought I'd humor you with what our kids have been up to lately.

  The older two have been working hard since two weekends ago, creating their own Valentine's store to come and "buy" Valentine's.  Hannah asked me if I wanted to come to her free Valentine's store.  Confused about what she meant I asked what the store was like.  And she quickly replied, "It's kind of like an Anthropologie store."  That was all the description I needed.

 Only one person was admitted at a time (Joel went first), and this poor girl was sad to have to wait.  And sad that I like taking pictures of her.  She is just always wanting to be included with the big kids!

She did want me to take some of her and piggy though.

We were finally let in and had a bed full of choices!!

  I mean this is such a crucial component of any relationship.  She is too funny!

 These were Calvin's creations.  You could put anything inside them, but not water I was told. :)

   And then of course the items had an optional gift wrap.  I am dying of cuteness!

The Valentine's Day creations continued and the store continued to be stocked all the way up until we left for Disneyland.  And then yesterday, the actual day, each kid made Valentine's for each other.  It was so cute.  Hannah's gift to Calvin was the favorite and eaten in 10 seconds.  The little fruit leather   guy to the right of Candy Calvin is Olaf.

    Mike gave me a sweet card from my favorite paper company (the hints do work!!) and some glasses I wanted from Anthropologie for Valentine's Day.  Are we connecting the dots with the Anthropologie-like store and the "You help me calm down, my anchor" Valentine in her shop?  Mike did take all 4 kids on an errand one saturday morning I do recall.  This all just makes so much sense now.  :)
