Beating the heat

  It may be Fall on the calendar, but summer is still holding on here.  At least the past few days.  As most would, we have been keeping cool by way of water.  Splashing in the steel tub, the pool, and water balloons!

   Grammy and Grampy came in town for Joel's birthday last week and they left yesterday.  Grammy brought the water balloons and sunday was the perfect day for them.

  By the end of the week the temps should be back down to our normal.  Who knows if that was our last heat wave of the year, but I sure enjoyed it.  I am one of those people.

  However, there certainly are things I love about fall.  Football.  Only my teams, that is.  Not the entirety of both leagues.  Getting to wear my Nordstrom anniversary sale purchases!  Not having to water my plants every day.  And fun new shows like This is Us.  We caught up on the first episode last night and liked it.  Dare we say what others are saying?  I don't know if anything can match Parenthood, but at least it is filling that void.
