Football weekend
We had a super fun weekend full of football!! Our weekend was spent playing football, going to the game, more playing, and watching the Seahawks on sunday. Whew! With the amazing victory at the Apple Cup, we were in the Pac-12 Championships this past friday trying to get 1 of 4 spots in the College Football Playoffs! Let's just say that all of football this weekend went as we had hoped!! I entered college the year after they Huskies went to the Rose Bowl. It was DOWNHILL from there. We sat through a lot of games that we threw confetti for tackles and first downs and that was about it. Seeing them do so well has been really fun this year!
We had some special visitors come into town for the game and they also graciously took us to the game. You can find them at the bottom of the tackle pile here. They also spend some quality time with our kids when they are around.
Thankfully, our kids are starting to get it (Calvin especially) and so it has become a family thing and so I don't feel like I'm neglecting the kids when I watch. Not only that, we have been playing lots of football in the cul de sac which has also been a fun family activity.
Purple Reign!
All smiles after a Husky win!
We played more football on saturday before dinner. Though he did cry when he realized he wasn't going to the game. Playing it is different. Joel has an alternative approach to football...
LOL!
This kid on the other hand is focused!
We threw up a lot of touchdown hands all weekend long! Alabama, we're coming for you!
As for the smiles...those came and went frequently. We are needing some rest!
Happy Monday!
PURPLE REIGN!!!!! Such a contrast from the seasons of celebrating first downs... When we were the only ones left in the student section!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm with Joel. I cried when I realized I wasn't going to the game.
