Halloween and pumpkins and more
I know you're expecting Halloween pictures and rest assured I will not disappoint. From the school costume parade to another pumpkin patch to trick or treating and our Halloween party, there is a lot to share. Enjoy!
This boy was ROCKING his bandaid costume. There were lots of chuckles, finger pointing, and questions from passersby. He was all smiles and kept saying proudly, "I'm a bandaid!" At some point, I asked him if he was okay because the comments and laughter did not stop. He said he was, and I was so proud of him for coming up with his costume and sticking with it. No pun intended.
Not excited about watching the costume parade.
Pumpkin patch round 2.
My bandaid, batgirl, Minnie, and swimming pool. (All of their own ideas, except Ava of course.)
I was a bee, and this is the only pic of me that night. And if you look closely, there are my braces. :\ My friend insisted on a selfie and I can't hide forever. Yep, I'm doing it!! My teeth have been getting worse and worse and as much as I didn't want to have them, I even more didn't want my teeth continuing to get crooked and turned (mostly on the bottom). That's the short story of it, and believe me it is a long story.

Poor Joel had to wait in the back because he couldn't fit on the crowded porch. He also couldn't step up very easily so someone was always helping him. He was a good sport though.
Our two Minnies.
This neighborhood is one of the top places to trick or treat in the nation so I've been told. So many people were out on their lawns and these guys in particular LOVED Joel and Calvin's costumes.
About an hour of trick or treating and then home for a little party.
Bobbing for apples.
Or grabbing for apples....
Somehow Joel thought you were supposed to help your friend out.
Hannah got a big one because we did a surprise Happy Birthday song and donut for her. Not pictured: the seven candles I put in for her to blow out. Oops!
This also happened. It was pretty much the funnest Halloween party we've ever thrown. And even though we've never thrown one before, I am confident nothing else could beat it. ;)
And the morning after, while I was making breakfast, I saw a dirty floor and 4 children needing something to do. They earn their keep. :)
Happy Monday!

Too much fun! Your CrossFit gym turns into a dance floor quite nicely!
ReplyDeleteYou got braces! I'd love to hear more on that story.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm so jealous of your amazing garage/personal gym turned dance party cause that looked mega fun!!! You know how I love to dance ;-)
The lighting looks a step up from the bike like parties in college. So fun!
