Sass
Hi friends and family! Nap time has been just that recently. I try to put my finger on it each time the exhaustion hits and try new things...vitamin D, magnesium, beef, etc. This time I'm thinking it is the very inconsistent wake up times I have throughout the week. 4:53 a.m. 3 times per week and then 7:45 on the weekends is quite the swing. However, magnesium, eating more beef, and vitamin D have been life changing in terms of energy level for me.
On the other hand, one of the many things that has not changed, is this girl and her sass personality. Wow!
That look. I'm going to walk way away from you, without my jacket, just 'cause.
And this look, while she loudly repeated, "HUH?!?!"
Loves bringing her bed out to the tv room. Llama Llama is the special one!
And my heart blanket from when I was little.
Just eating applesauce in the hamper. The usual. Not really, cause it's never empty!
Wanted so bad to be outside still, but there are only so many times we can put her shoes on and take them off to go inside and wash hands from digging in the dirt. Yes, she's licking the screen.
Because they are just so cute! And she only knows one color: green. Both feet are "Gween!"
The other day we pulled up a video I made for Father's Day for Mike back in 2010. It was the Father's Day that Hannah broke her arm and while we were supposed to be enjoying watching it, Hannah just kept crying (we didn't realize she had broken it yet). Anyway, it is about 25 minutes long, all about our day at home while he is gone. Calvin was just a little baby so Hannah was the star of the show and had us cracking up. Hannah was about the same age as Ava is now and it was fun/crazy to see how closely they resemble each other in personality. It is so easy to forget everything, so it has reminded me to take more videos of the kids doing silly things as well as doing their normal. It's hard to imagine we will forget, but I know we will. I find that I also remember myself a certain way during specific stages of their life, like really tired or really grumpy or always calling out orders. But when I watch videos or look at pictures, I see myself loving on my kids so much and having so much fun that I can, in a sense, be relieved that I was enjoying those moments too. Same story with this blog, sometimes I look back at old ones when I am looking for something and am reminded of things I had forgotten. I love that about memory keeping, whichever form it is. Thanks for following along on our memories, sharing with others is part of it too!
Happy wednesday!
