Happy New Year | Berry Bucha Blend

  If you are anything like me, nothing kick starts your day like a smoothie.  Well, swimming first, and then smoothie.  And since frozen mangos are either out of stock at TJs or extremely tart and fibrous at Costco this time of year, I have been making my back up smoothie each day.  Needing a new smoothie recipe to get those resolutions off right?  This one is a winner.

Inspired by the Kombucha Blast smoothie from PCC I had this past fall.  There's had no greens.


Berry Bucha Blend
Makes about 5 cups of smoothie.

1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup kombucha
~1 tsp. size piece of ginger
1/4-1/3 of an avocado
2 cups gently packed greens
1 cup blueberries
1/2 cup pineapple
Handful of frozen strawberries (you all know I don't measure things!!)

I blend all of the non-frozen things first and then add the frozen ingredients and blend for about 30-45 on high.  But there is really no way to mess up steps on making a smoothie.

  1. I want now. Does your Costco sell frozen mangoes? That's what we've been getting.

    I tricked Randy into drinking a smoothie with avocado and he loved it. :)
