Tiny toes

I can get behind the rainy days like today.  Stay cozied up inside, make some hot chocolate for the kids, let them do play-doh while I dust beside them, actually sit down at the table and eat lunch with them, listen to all of our Alicia Keys albums, do Legos, and read stories.  I can get behind these kind of rainy days.  I take the kids to school and not have to set foot outside the rest of the day because it's not my pick-up day, the only exception being to bring in an order from the front step.  I can wrap my head around the whole idea of the rain being cozy, at least for days exactly like these.

We certainly need the rain and so I am thankful for it, but it is still not my favorite.  Everyone says, it should remind you of home.  That is the part about home I wanted to get away from, people!  As I was lifting weights this morning in my rubber boots (lightning closed the pool and those are the only shoes I had besides flip flops!), someone told me that we have 15" coming for us.  Fifteen.  Lord help me!

In other completely unrelated news, this happened.

She was pretty ecstatic!

She wanted to move and touch and scoot and fidget and grab...and I just had to make her stay still.  I told her to fold her hands in her lap and wait patiently for them to dry.  She's trying so hard.  That really works!  For like 10 seconds.

  I can't even.

I actually have been counting down the days to do this.  Little painted toes is about the cutest thing!  As for her fingers, I will be saving that for the distant future.

Happy feet for a happy wednesday!
