First day of school, last day of 2-4-6-8

  Yesterday was the first day of school!  Yes, the summer is over, the day finally came, and everyone is okay.

    These three are off to school now.  Joel is in Transitional Kindergarten (TK), Calvin in 1st, Hannah in 3rd.  The older two are at one school, Joel is at our home school.  Fortunately for us, our good friends are in the exact same boat.  It take a village!

    Joel wanted us all to drop him off at school, so cute.  Since they all start at the same time, we got to his school SUPER early, said good-bye, Mike stayed with him and the other 4 of us raced off to the other school.

  Thought I would take advantage of their cute first day of school outfits to get one final picture of them as 2-4-6-8.  It's super posed, but I REALLY wanted the picture.  I should have been chanting, 2-4-6-8, why don't you COOPERATE?  Oh man....

  On the other hand, Ava is 3 tomorrow!!!!!  And boy do I appreciate that little girl.  It's just me and her during the day and it's been pretty awesome so far.  My little buddy!

As always, first day of school ice cream.  

  Last year's picture, when we could get away with scooping a little bit of Joel's ice cream into a cone for Ava.  Haha.

  In summary, first day of school before, during, and right after school was awesome!  First evening of school, however, was ROUGH.  I know we'll get into the swing of things eventually.

  I don't know when I will ever stop saying this, but I'm thinking it might be soonish.  I am working on a birthday party for Ava this weekend and I am still trying to catch up on life.  Coming back from vacation one week before school starts is not enough.  I tried to squeeze every last bit of summer into that week, on top of multiple appointments, etc.  The next moment I have I will look through vacation pics and hopefully get them up here for you curious ones!  Thanks for hanging with me during the blog droughts.  ;)
