Monday motivation | Swim Fest 2016
We had a wonderful weekend with minimal commitment and it was glorious. Saturday morning was my masters team's annual Swim Fest and everyone was excited about it, especially the kids. Sunday, we went to church, picked up a new dresser for Ava's room (getting rid of the changing table!!), worked out, and did little else. Whether we do a lot or a little, weekends always seem too short!!
Had a pretty good meet this year. No best times (I'm talking adult PRs here), but they were FAR better than last year's.
Mike even dove in the pool and raced me in the 50 free, he won. He's still got it!
Do you know how excited I would be if we could swim together again? I don't think I'd possibly be able to love it as much as he LOVES when I workout with him, but we've had some great times swimming together. Some day...
That's us taking an underwater picture. Haha!!
I LOVE my team!!! We work really hard and have a great time. There are times that waking up at 4:53 am is not what I want to do, but I would never miss it. I realize this is not the norm and so I am so thankful to be able to do this 3 times a week. I need it more than just for exercise, there's the social aspect, the sanity aspect, and I get just a sliver of me time. I would recommend finding a group to do something with to anyone!
Happy monday!
