More Christmas
Just when you thought you had turned your calendar to the new year I hit you with some more Christmas. It won't be for too long. It's been a while since being in this space, I don't even know where to start. So I suppose I'll pick up where I left off and that was getting into the Christmas spirit.
We did a couple more Christmas activities and before you knew it, Christmas was here. Hope you all had a nice one!
Checking out the giant reindeer in our friend's yard. There is a whole line up of them across neighbor's yards strung with lights. How fun is this?
Hot chocolate before seeing more Christmas lights.
More caramel wrapping. I need to remember to do two full batches next time, the first full batch made over 350 caramels. When I first started doing this many years ago I made half of a batch. Thankful for my wrapping elves!
They thought this was the best thing!! Getting to stand out of the sunroof as we drove through the park to see the lights.
LOTS of Skip-Bo!
Christmas Eve at church. This was after Joel fell under the stage during the service. Didn't know that there was a 4 foot drop off under the stage.... Poor guy was traumatized!!
Christmas morning!
Traditional cinnamon rolls/sticky buns for breakfast. Too tired to make them the night before so we had a late breakfast! The kids were totally occupied so it wasn't a problem.
I think I have finally perfected my recipe after many years!!!!! So so so good. A little wisdom from different recipes. I will share another time.
Dripping caramel. Perfectly sweet.
Morning walk.
Big sister to the rescue pushing the stroller after Ava got tired!
We sure missed our family and friends, but we had a nice day at home together!
