4 months

Ava is 4 months old today.

How is this possible?!?!  I had to ask our new doctor about her take on when to start solids.  I'm talking real food.   No more growing up, my baby is supposed to nurse forever more.  Okay, that's not what I really want, but this cute little thing is getting so big!

We walked to the appointment this morning (the office is only 1 mile away!) after dropping Hannah off at school.  We had to check out the fire truck on the way.

Calvin also gave pronunciation lessons to Joel.  Probably not the preferred person to learn from, but it was really cute.  "Mama, him know how to say bwoo-geen.  I'm taught it to him!" exclaimed Calvin.

Ava showing off for Dr. Hall.  She is 16  lbs. 4 oz. putting her in the 87th percentile for weight.  Highest percentile of any of my babes for sure.

On the way home we stopped at the park.

After our short stay at the park we had to race home so I could finish packing for our trip to Seattle.  I haven't mentioned that I was flying home with the 3 youngest by myself.  I was in denial I suppose.  Well, I made it and was given the super mom award by those who sat around us.  The kids did A+amazing and I didn't even have to pull out my secret weapon (new Cars toys).  I wouldn't recommend it (lots of double takes when standing in line) but it's possible if you have no other choice.

  1. Ava is HUGE! Can't wait to see her. She is also incredibly cute :-)

You are so much braver than me. I don't think I could fly with three kids by myself. I don't even want to take all three to Costco by myself! Super mom indeed. Super kids too!
