My desk

  I'm back at it again.  I've been carving stamps like crazy in preparation for some Christmas cards, wrapping and goodies.  When I get this way I'm like a tornado, the bits and pieces of my work scattered about and my desk left a mess.  Oh well, I get good stuff done.  This one above is for the persimmon jam and chutney I will be passing out this Christmas.

 

  Someone else started carving stamps too.  She is pumped about being able to use my tools and producing her own stuff.  So far she's carved a heart, bow, flower, and H.  You can also see a Santa I carved in the back there.

 

  Those of you that have ever been to my home know that my desk is pretty much ALWAYS a disaster.  I have so many works-in-progress, it is embarrassing. I blame it on not having a chunk of time to devote to starting, finishing, and most definitely not cleaning up an entire project.  I usually just leave it out until I have more free time to work on it.  Maybe someday I'll have a neat workspace that is cute and presentable, but for now, I am happy I get to do as much crafting as I do.

  Another picture of my messy desk! I had to push some stuff off to the side so Ava could fit up there.  This morning, when Ava was sitting in the bumbo with this penguin outfit on I had a flashback to 2008 and HAD to snap a shot of her chillin' up on my desk.

 

  This is why.  It's Hannah on March 11, 2008.  That would make her just over 4 months old.  Ava is a week shy of 4 months.  I notice that she has more Calvin features that I can see now when I compare her to baby Hannah.  Do you see it?  I don't remember Hannah this age at all, so seeing this little baby picture just makes me smile.

ps.  Mike made it to Prague early this morning.  I found out first thing this morning via instagram of all ways.  We were able to Facetime at lunch and he is sleepy, but doing good.  Gotta love technology!
