Carmel

  So, our last stop before heading home was in Carmel.  I was curious what the beach was like and I also wanted to peek at the shops in town.  The kids got in their suits, we packed up, and went to the beach.

 

  I'm so glad we stopped in Carmel.  Look at this!  The beach we found in Monterey was not like this.  Pebble Beach is on the right which my dad and Mike enjoyed on Monday with a beer on the 18th hole.  The sand was fine and there were small breakers for the kids to enjoy.

Hannah was excited!!

They had to play "Get close, but don't let the wave get you."

You all know that game.

   As they ran from the waves, they were screaming.  Joel joined the fun and would just start running and screaming when they did.

 

  The laughing and the moving sand eventually got all of them.  By the end, Hannah and Calvin were laying in the sand with waves flowing over them.  Joel was completely soaked, but not by choice.  He got surprised by a couple of waves and slipped.

I love this!

The drive home took us one hour and change.  Needless to say, we are going back!  Hopefully soon.
