Father's Day 2015
It's kind of crazy town in my head and in my house right now trying to get ready for our big drive and trip tomorrow, but I am still coming off of a high from our last-minute Father's Day Chill and Grill. Planned friday night, some of my friends and I pulled off some Father's Day fun. Lots of pictures to follow. When I post pictures from an event, I usually only post the one's of my kids, but this way you will get to meet some of our good friends.
"Happy Father's Day" song to the daddies.
The s'more stuff came out and before they started, I whisked all of the kids away to take pictures with their dads. It was now or never and I really wanted at least my kids to get one with Mike.
These two girls and their missing teeth smiles. So adorable!
No words.
Class is in session. Leave it to Miss Maddie to take charge of the kids!
Our friend, from Colorado, and of course a Bronco fan. Somehow every time she comes over she gets the Seahawk cup or mug. Go Hawks!
Baby getting sleepy.
Sleeping baby getting woken up.
End of the night slap-happiness.
We have so much fun every time people come over, big crowd or small, and that was the case this time as well. I don't remember laughing so hard so many times in a long while. It was an ab workout kind of night. I was still laughing the next morning. As much as I love to go on adventures and explore new things, there is something about this that fills my heart to overflowing that nothing else can. Gathering together with good friends, making memories, starting traditions...this is community, this is "the village."
We are also blessed to be able to go back to the PNW, home, and get to be with our family, the deepest roots of community and our village in the truest sense. I am so grateful.
Hoping to be on here a bit during our trip, but we will see! We will probably post on insta, so if you're needing your fix, catch us on there.
