Swim lessons
I went to the pool and swam 3 different times yesterday. It was in the triple digits. I do love the water, but today I am swimmed out. :)
The first time was for my morning workout, the second time was for the boys and their swim lessons. This was Joel's first lesson ever. How cute is he?
Waiting for his turn on the side of the pool just like this.
Calvin also had lessons and we lucked out with him being the only person in the class. Two weeks of private lessons for the cost of group lessons. Score!! Lessons are WAY more expensive down here (like everything else) and I was stoked. Calvin was pretty thrilled too, him being the quality time/one-on-one attention thriver.
We went back to the pool in the evening to escape the heat and being stuck indoors. The pool was a mad house, but so refreshing! Being in the pool with all 4 kids is way easier this year than it was last year. I would not say Joel is water safe, but he knows how to bob up for a breath when he needs and as long as he isn't too far from the wall he can get there on his own. So, besides treading water and catching Ava, then holding her while Joel dives in and giving him a little boost, it's a piece of cake! :) I'm kidding, but it actually is much easier now. I just don't know how I taught lessons for 3 hours everyday all summer on top of swimming or coaching for 8 years. That was a different season of life!
