Science experiments

I have a few things up my sleeves to keep these crazies busy this summer.  To give them (and Hannah especially) credit, they play SUPER well together and I am often looking for them when Hannah is home.  However, there are definitely times when they need a little activity boost.

Found this book for Hannah at Costco yesterday and at this rate, we will finish the book in 121 and two-thirds days.

Naturally, the other kids were all about it too.  What I'm realizing (and so contrary to my nature) is that you don't have to go big or go home.  Hannah scrounged together our completely mixed together, dried and crumbly play-doh and made it half resemble a volcano.  I often think they will not be impressed or interested unless I do it up fancy, but the reality is that they just want to be active participants alongside you, no matter what the volcano looks like.  It's not that it's sloppy and haphazard, it's that you make do with what you got, resources, time and energy.  Which I guess really is my style after all.

I guess the other big obstacle is being able to include this cutie.  She is 22 months going on 10 years old you see.  Kidding aside, she is always all up in the business.  Fortunately, she was patient in waiting her turn with this activity and it was a great success.

Have a great tuesday!
