Nesting
Thank goodness it is Friday! It has been a crazy week and all of it has finally caught up to me. I am exhausted, my house is a pig sty, and I am 39 weeks pregnant for crying out loud. However, I have been in serious nesting mode and getting a lot done (it is crunch time after all). I'm thinking that's a small part of why I am tired. I finally gathered all baby girl items, clipped tags off of new clothes, and threw it all in the wash. I went through all 3 kids' drawers and got rid of the stuff that was too small. I am purging things I should have never kept. I even sewed this sling for Hannah yesterday.
She had to have her arm elevated for 72 hours post-surgery. That way her arm wouldn't swell inside of the splint. She is past that mark now, but whenever she is sitting or laying down we still have her elevate it. When she is up and about she either holds it up with her left hand or she has it in a sling. She is going to be casted for 6 weeks, so I figured I'd make her something a little cuter than the standard issued slings from the hospital.
I am thankful to have gotten through this week with all of the help from friends and family. Meals, checking-in, calls, cards, get well soon gifts, and prayers have been encouraging and so helpful!
Thank you for caring!
