My bag (!!!!!)
I mentioned that when we went to Friday Harbor last month for my birthday that we stumbled upon a leather handbag shop. I peeked in the window and almost didn't walk in because there was a toy store next door that I wanted to go into. I'm so glad we did go in because I fell in love with a clutch that was in her shop, not to mention we spent almost an hour in there talking with, Winnie, the shop owner about education and Saddleback Leather and kids. She was very interesting to talk to.
I wanted this clutch, but with straps for a crossover body bag. This one was a bit too small and as I was ogling over it, Winnie said, "I can make you one." I looked at Mike with excitement/for the go ahead and then I asked how it worked. She said, "I make a bag and if you like it then you buy it, if you don't like it then you don't buy it." I was sold. :)
This is what she came up with! I just love it. After she told me she would make me one, I picked the leather (there was a persimmon goat leather that I debated about for a long time), inside fabric, and other accessories.
As for size, I basically pulled out my wallet, phone, and camera and said these 3 things and only these things need to fit inside. She put them down, traced around them and let her creativity flow to make me a perfect bag.
There's even a handy pocket in the back.
Besides the whole bag itself, my favorite part is this tassel. Sometimes you will find me just looking at my bag admiring it or touching the leather because it is so soft!
Thank you, Winnie and Momentum Handbag!
