Apple

  I got a short coffee date with my husband this morning.  I meet him at work, which is here at Apple HQ.  He does not work in One Infinite Loop, but very close by.  It is not a secret fortress.  At least not yet.  You can see this main building and the surrounding Apple buildings from the street.  However, they are currently in construction for their new space that is just down the road.

 

 

  Inside the main entrance there is a model of the new space to be constructed.  It is impossible to imagine the scale when looking at this tiny model, but this campus is going to be large!!  Besides the many buildings, massive parking structure (on left), and fitness facility, they will be putting in about 4 miles of trails too.

 

  This is the main building with all of the offices.  The diameter will be 1/3 of a mile.  Mike told me many more things about the new campus, but what stood out to me was that the trees surrounding and inside the building will be fruit trees that are available for anyone to harvest fruit.  The cooks in the cafeteria will also be using this orchard to prepare their food.  Yes.

 

  When it is complete, it will be the more secretive and impressive campus that many of you imagined Apple to have.  For now, I'll enjoy my coffee date in the modest cafeteria with subpar fresh fruit.  lol.
