Roses in bloom

We visited Santa Clara University yesterday because our friend, Rani, mentioned that the roses are blooming.  And boy are they in bloom!  We met up with her and she gave us a tour.

  There are roses all over campus and they are beautiful.  In my mind, roses are no big deal because I am used to the store refrigerator displays with bouquets of little rose buds.  Those just don't do roses justice.  These ones are full and lush and just gorgeous.  Now that I'm paying attention, they are actually in bloom everywhere, neighbor's yards, parks, planters, etc.

  I bribed Joel and Calvin to let me take pictures of them by letting them take pictures with the camera.  Joel caught Calvin perfectly!!

Take time today to stop and smell the roses!
