Beach fun

I took the kids to Santa Cruz this morning.  I really wanted to go, but was unsure of how smart it was to go by myself.  As we drove down the windy highway into Santa Cruz, we drove away from the sun and into the fog.  I was getting nervous.  It also didn't help that Hannah was crying in the backseat because her tummy hurt.  We think the kids get carsick, the road is very windy!  Anyway, the fog burned off after a bit and so I did not have to appease cold and sandy kids.
Hannah was digging a hole and the boys were very intrigued.

Markers are not the best teething toys, but it is better than sand!  She was putting sand in her mouth by the handful and didn't seem to think there was a problem.

After all of Hannah's hard work digging the hole, we decided it would be funnest to bury her.

Surprisingly, the boys followed suit.

Thankfully, my grand beach plan was a success!  We even got to see a sea lion come on shore right alongside the pier here.
