Throwback to September 2011

I've got BABIES on my mind and today's blog is going back 4 years, to the time I was about to have one of my own.  I'm getting ready for a 4th birthday party for Joel and reminiscing about that time not too long ago.

First of all, I was huge!  (This was on our staycation babymoon.  Earlier that morning we swam in the lake and Mike made me pumpkin scones, I can't remember what else we did.)

Second, Calvin was a BABY still.  He just turned 18 months and was about to have a baby brother.

This must have been his first ice cream cone and he was sure happy to tell everyone about it.  So cute!

Labor day weekend, I spent a night in the hospital.  I was gardening and heard Calvin roaring down the hill on the sidewalk and heard a car coming up the hill at the same time.  Thoughts of him rolling straight into the street had me turning to run to catch him.  Instead, I turned and fell HARD, right on Joel.  That was the worst night of sleep ever.

Joel was born!!  I was SOOOOO glad to get him out of my stomach.  The most tiring pregnancy of the 4.  Couldn't get enough of this sweet baby and he was SO good.

The kids LOOOVED him and were all over him all of the time.  And Hannah was already making fashion statements back then.

Proudest big brother!

And the sweetest.  I can't even!

And now this little guy is turning 4.  He is the funniest kid with the perfect one-liners that surprise us all of the time.  Can't wait to celebrate him!

Nailed it!
