Merry Christmas

Like all kids, mine were counting down the days!  They were just so excited when Christmas morning finally came.  Getting a picture before opening presents is really quite easy.  :)

So much excitement!

But first, breakfast.  And the most amazing cinnamon rolls I have ever made.  I have been striking out with my tried and true winner the past two times and cinnamon rolls are not something you want to fail.  First and most obvious, you don't get to enjoy cinnamon rolls, but also they are laborious!  This year I tried a new recipe from Baking Illustrated and cooked them late Christmas Eve to rewarm Christmas morning.  We sampled them as soon as they came out of the oven and we decided a new tradition was born.  I am thinking about making them again for New Year's Day because they were just that good.

Santa came through for all of the kids this year!  Thank you, Santas!

Four boxes remained and inside were a clue to our next family trip!

Disneyland!!!

I snapped some pics while I was in class with Teacher Hannah.  How cute is she?!?!

This little girl was also with us, doing her own thing of course!

Christmas dinner I got no pictures of, wasn't even a thought as we wrangled kids and were up and down from the table the entire amazingly delicious meal.  But we got a pic of me cuddling the newbie!

We said good-bye to our friends who are moving.  It was 8:45 by this point, my kids in their new jammies, her kids shirtless.  Reality!  So thankful to get to spend one last dinner with them.

Hope you had a nice Christmas too!
