Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving 2015

Amongst the many other things we did, we also managed to celebrate Thanksgiving too.  We also threw on them that we kind of invited some people over for a Friendsgiving too.  So we did traditional Thanksgiving on thursday with just my fam and saturday night, after visiting SF, we had a packed house for Friendsgiving.  It was so much fun!!

My sister took on the role of lumpia maker, my grandma's recipe, and the BEST you will ever have. We made them for both feasts and they were just as good as I remember them.  They just weren't rolled as perfect as my grandma's.  They are definitely a special occasion thing as they are a lot of work and are fried.  Which is how we even started thinking about them.  We were having a discussion with the kids one night at dinner about healthy food and unhealthy food and I brought up how we only fried one thing growing up and that was lumpia.  And before you knew it, I ate lumpia twice in 3 days.

She got this idea to come as a Native American to our feast and made herself a headdress and put on her vest from Halloween last year.

Friendsgiving!!

The kids were put in the garage.

The adults crammed around the table!  This makes me so happy!  I know it is stressful to some people, but this is exactly why we had a big family.  Lots of people, lots of food, lots of fun!

Ended the night with "the game" and as always, it does not disappoint!

  My heart is full.

Happy thursday!
