Dentist

We have been staying busy here with all of the fun stuff, like dentist appointments and such.  On tuesday, Ava had her first check-up, and she did great.  I really wasn't sure how she was going to do, but since our dentist is awesome it went really well.

Side note:  When you relocate, one of the hardest things to do is find new doctors, a dentist, a laundromat, etc.  It is WORK!!  The best thing to do is ask friends where they go, but with different insurances and that sort of thing, it still isn't easy. This was the 3rd dentist we went to, that's like 1.5 years of looking around when you go to the dentist every 6 months.  I like our pediatrician okay, my OB is fine, but I LOVE our dentist.  Straightforward, assertive, and tells it like it is with your medical care, but also kind, personable, and relatable.  I appreciate this type of doctor very much!

Another last first.  She is so big, all of my kids are growing up so fast.  What is happening?!

On Wednesday, Calvin had his first baseball practice and the kids played on this very fun slide.  This will tie into the dental theme shortly...

But after less than a minute of seeing them try to climb up it, I specifically said not to...

It looked like a broken arm waiting to happen...

I walked away to watch Calvin play and not 10 minutes later, one of them had tried going up the freaking slide, fell on her face (HARD!), and chipped her tooth.

The day after we went to the dentist.

Long story short, the tooth is not wiggly, but was definitely chipped bad and she had to have a filling.  There is also a small crack across the tooth from the trauma.  Please say a prayer for Hannah's tooth to stay put.  We now get to watch what she eats for the next 6 weeks and watch out for that tooth for the rest of her life.

At least I love my dentist.

Happy friday!
