Valentine's day
For Valentine's Day this year, my husband was across the globe. Wah-waaah. I really enjoy the chance to celebrate, get a card, go on a date whenever the opportunity presents itself, but I also am not crazy about having a big to do on this holiday. I guess that would be my personality. Anyway, Mike was out of town and my dad had just left after being in town to help for a week. It was just the kids and I and Hannah thought to wash his car. What else was I going to do that night besides cook dinner and put 4 kids to bed?
Of course, the kids make everything so much more fun (and messy) and I came out to find them like so. LOTS of shrieks, lots of belly laughs, lots of fun.
On the other side of the car.
How much fun is he having?!
The water was warm and she could have played in it for another hour.
That smile is going to be the end of me...
I wouldn't say this was the best Valentine's Day ever, but I would say that serving one another in this season of life is an expression of love and a wonderful gift. Washing a car. This is true love people. Acts of service, everyday, yes to all of it!

Hannah = daddy's girl. Hope you got a date when Mike got back!
