Half Moon Bay

It seems I am going backwards in chronology with my blogs, but at least I am blogging.  The moment I feel like I might get back into a routine weeks will go by, so I am not promising anything.  When my dad was in town and the sun came out for the weekend, we went up to Half Moon Bay and were able to soak in some sun, get a little sandy, and of course the kids got wet!

My sweet, cuddly, verbal affirming, curly-haired girl, also has some real sass.  You just need to know that.

Heard someone shouting from above us and turned around to see my dad calling at the kids.  The kids all wanted to go up there too so he came back down and took them.

They came back down insisting I should go.  Little did I know that there was no actual path along THE EDGE OF THE CLIFF and proper hiking shoes would have been more appropriate!

Leave it to my dad to find these "trails," take my kids up them, and act like it was nbd.

I guess if you saw their faces and heard their giggles you would say it was worth it.

As for me, I would have liked a little more warning.  Ava and I stopped to take some pics while I contemplated how I was going to get down holding her up without falling down myself.  More than anything, however, I was so happy to have a chance to be outside.

We've had a break in the rain this week and it is glorious.  I think it's returning, but I am hoping the forecast is calling for that California "rain" and not the storms we have been having.  I can't handle the sun teasing us any longer!

Have a great thursday!
