Pop goes the weasel

My freshman year in college, my roommate, her friend, and I made up a really silly game to the tune of "Pop Goes the Weasel."  We lined up probably 8 couches in the social space of our dorm, and did a hurdles race over them.  Her friend was on the piano and whenever he got to the "Pop Goes the Weasel" part of the song, that was our cue to go.  We never knew when he would play it though because he would change the cadence throughout the song.  It sounds really stupid, but we had so much fun that night.  My roommate and I diving over couches, tripping and falling, laughing hysterically--what a great college memory.

I was reminded of this after the kids found yet another fruit growing in our yard.

It's a mulberry bush!  (Mulberry tree?)

The kids came running inside on Saturday to ask me if I wanted to have a blackberry.  Half freaking out, I ran outside to tell them to stop eating berries and show me what they were picking.

After a little research, I came to the conclusion that these were mulberries and were in fact safe to consume.

The black ones are delicious and sweet.

Make that 15 different kinds of fruit growing in our yard.  15!
