Colorful toes
Hannah had a day off from school last Friday. We didn't do anything special outside of the house, but I took a big step in letting go when I let her paint her own nails. I wanted to do something fun with her at naptime, and she wasn't too thrilled about doing nails. Until she decided she wanted to do it on her own. She actually was quite careful, but got a little lazier as time went on.
Yikes!! This was the second foot she painted and she was ready to get it done quick! :)
I remember the first time I painted her nails. She wasn't even two years old. Those were the sorts of things I COULD NOT WAIT to do with my baby girl. I roll my eyes at the thought of doing that with Ava in a few months. Ha! I might have to take back my words here, but I'm just pretty sure it isn't going to happen.
I can't believe this girl will be 7 next week. I just love her free spirit and strong will and while it makes for some head-butting, it also shows her confidence. Confidence to be herself, no matter what! I hope she is the same when she is 17 too!
Have a great Monday!
