More friends

  Last week we also had a dinner party with our friends and mentors, Mike and Shari, who came into town.  We met up at our friends' house in Menlo Park and were somewhat able to have good conversations as long as the kids (that were doing laps around us) were happy.  Mike was our college pastor and he and his wife led a mission trip that Mike and I went on 10 years ago to the Dominican Republic.  In fact, all of the guy friends that we had at the game on Saturday we met through that trip 10 years ago.  I was the only lady that was also there.  Three of the four couples that were at the game this past weekend were married by Mike.  Not only did he have great wisdom for us as college students, we also learned so much from him in preparation for marriage.  If only everyone had a couple like him and his wife in their life, this world would be a better place.  So, you can see that we have so much love and respect for them and a picture of him with our children brings much joy.
