Ava's 1st hair cut

 I had made up my mind a little while ago that it was time, but I finally got around to it this weekend.  She was a wiggler, but she did great (especially with a sucker).  It didn't seem like I cut that much off when I was cutting it, but I ended up cutting 5 inches at the longest part.  It's hard to tell when hair curls right up even as you cut it.  It is so much harder than cutting straight hair, the hair curls over your fingers and the curls bounce right back up after you straighten them.  The tips had been sun bleached and it was completely blonde, poor Mike was sad I cut off a piece of his genetic ties.  Haha!  I was so nervous I was going to cut off the curls this whole time, but thank goodness they are still there!

  I also trimmed the boys sides that were getting pretty scraggly around the ears.  They are wanting to grow their hair back out on top!
