Final swim meet

We had a busy weekend and it included our final swim meet of the season.  We sadly are not going to the championship meet this year (please don't even bring it up to Hannah who is very upset about this) because we are going on our road trip up to the PNW.  Coming from a league where we did swim meets during the week in the evening, these saturday morning meets were a drag, but I have finally come around and can say I enjoy these mornings SO much.  It certainly helps to have two participating, and not have a 10 month old to carry around in the ergo who was missing her morning nap (that was 2 years ago).  The kids have made great memories and friends.  Tagging along with (and/or bothering) the older swimmers has been very fun for them as well.

  Hannah's cheering squad.

Determined.  Focused.  Hard worker.  Competitor.  Swim fanatic.  All of these things and more.  She loves waking up early, racing, the camaraderie, all of it.  It makes it fun for us too!  As self-sufficient as she is, she also needs us to check in with her to let her know we are at her race.  It is really sweet to see her demeanor change when she knows we are already poolside and watching her.  She might grow up to be like her dad, who performs better when the right people are watching.  Either way, I will always be there!

They adore Coach Bradley about as much as he adores them.  It is too cute!

Can't believe summer swim team is over!
