Flower Friday | Sweet Peas

  I am having a lull in orders as well as had all of this alone time at night this week and so I made good use of that time by getting a jumpstart on my 2017 calendar.

  I started WAY too late last year (like, WAY!) and rushed it and was not super happy with my final product.  Not to mention I was a zombie!  Did you know that I carved over 50 stamps for my last calendar?  And I'm not talking about ones that I didn't use in the calendar.  I did a lot of little flowers and leaves as filler in the bouquets.  I am going a completely different route this year.  One really intricate stamp to carve per month.  I can't afford to wait that long this year.  Putting my head down and getting it done earlier, like right now!  Here is a sneak peek.

 Was watching the gymnastics Olympic trials late one night while carving and took a picture every 15 or so minutes.

    These sweet peas I carved were from a picture of a bunch I bought at a farmer's market back in Bellevue.  Does my stamp look like this?  I think so!!

  Getting the fourth month carved now.  I'm very excited about this calendar!
