Fourth of July

Unlike our hometown that has multiple stalls of fireworks for sale in every grocery store parking lot, we have to go searching for them around here.  Lucky for us, on our way to Tahoe, we saw one as we stopped for gas.  We picked up some kid essentials.  One day we will enjoy these in the dark.  For now, I'll take the evenings alone with Mike and fireworks in the broad daylight.

Hannah was not angry, upset, or whatever emotion that could definitely describe her face.  She is actually quite nervous around sparklers and fireworks in general.  Kudos to her, she eventually held not only one, but two.

LOVE these faces of pure delight.  They were watching the flowers bounce all around.  (Please excuse the DEAD petunia.  It was alive and blooming when we left 2 days prior to this.  Does anyone else's petunias get diseased and die so quickly? Ugh.)

Mike got a grand finale "Monster" and the kids loved it.  Hannah enjoyed it, but from a safer distance as you can see.

Hope you had a nice 4th too!
