Portland
We went down to Portland this weekend for a family wedding and picnic. As most weekends in Portland are, this one was packed full of family, fun, and lots of food. We left around 1 on Friday to get down in time for dinner. Little did we know how terrible the traffic would be. The kids woke up from their naps and we were still in Tacoma, people. It took us 2 hours to get to Olympia. Total time was just over 4 hours. We usually get down there easily in less than 3. Our kids were amazing in the car. The kids played non-stop with their cousins and on this play set once we got out of the car.
Saturday morning we went to Sauvie Island to pick peaches. That was a new experience and so much fun!
The trees were loaded with peaches. They all smelled so good too!
We love Katie!!
We called it the peach jungle. The kids were excited about picking them until they realized it was more fun to eat them. Both Hannah and Calvin had two peaches in the orchard.
100 lbs. of peaches later, we left to explore more of Sauvie Island. (No, not all 100 lbs. are for us, we took home two boxes which was about 30 lbs.)
We found the beach! (Calvin sat on ONE blackberry that was in his car seat.)
The kids love playing with Uncle Jeff!
Making a lake.
Saturday night was the wedding in the Chinese Botanical Garden.
Hannah got a hold of the camera.
Sunday was the family picnic.
There is a reason these kids love going down to Portland.
We all just have so much fun when we're together!
We thought the drive down was bad. The drive back was worse at almost 5 hours long. However, it was such a great weekend and more memories were made! Hope you had a fun weekend!

You and Cortney have almost the same expression! Same head tilt and everything. Hilarious.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend!
