We're back

  We had such a fun weekend away in Grapeview, WA with my family.  It was perfect weather for lots of relaxing on the deck, soaking in the sun and view, and exploring the beach.  We are back to the daily grind, but not for too long as we have another short week with a much anticipated birthday celebration at the end of this week.  Can't wait to share more about that after it happens!  For now, here is our weekend.

 

We explored the beach!!

 

We were kind of nervous around the crabs.

Probby, really nervous.

 

We were also kind of cranky since we didn't take a good nap.

 

We had the men get to work.

We were intrigued by the fire.

We ate some yummy food!

We carefully helped out with the fire.

 

We collected rocks to put around the fire.

 

We went to Sluy's and got sad faces even though we were all really happy.  (I feel like we cheated on you, Hemphills, by being there without you!)

 

We played on the beach some more before the tide came in.

 

 

We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores.  Clearly, I ate too many! :)

 

The fire was so hot we could barely find a stick long enough to reach without burning our faces.

 

 

We got brave and held a crab.

 

Some of us did at least.

 

We did lots of bike riding and racing. 

 

It was a fun trip!
