Calvin and preschool
I think I mentioned last week that Calvin has been having a harder time at preschool. If I didn't, then I guess I just mentioned it. (I've got a lot to keep track of these days!) His teacher Miss Sherie mentioned to me that it is during transitions that he has the hardest time and there are usually tears. Today I told him I'd meet him at school before it was time to go swimming so he didn't have to be sad.
All of the kids (don't you think there are a lot?) walk out and wait for their swim teacher to call them. Check out the middle picture, one of these kids is not like the others... :) haha! He just makes me crack up sometimes. I (secretly) wonder if he has such a hard time during transitions because he doesn't know what to do or where to be simply because he doesn't listen to the teacher's (very clear) instructions. After I took that picture I went over to him and asked him if he knew what he was supposed to do. He definitely did not. Oh my sweet little Calvy, I just love him so! He joined the others with some encouragement from me, but clearly was not too excited about it.
Miss Heather ended up being his swim teacher, which I was so happy about. She's great!
He did great too! Of course I was right there giving him thumbs up and smiles the whole time. At lunch he said (really fast), "I cwied a wittle bit cuz I'm wanting Mama!" I am sure going to miss this phase of life.
Joel offered his encouragement too!
I guess swimming isn't so bad after all!
