Joel's 2nd birthday
Joel Joel turned 2 on Saturday! We had a little party for him. I did my best to keep it fun and super EASY and thought an ice cream theme would fit that bill. He loves "cones."
We played some games. My 3 all on a team here.
You had to run to the ice cream.
Scoop it into the cone and then run back to fill up your ice cream bucket.
We also did a piñata. Notice the spoon for a bat. The bat was in the party basket and somehow got out before we made it to the party. (The birthday boy got blamed!)
We sang Happy Birthday and had cupcakes or ice cream and toppings or ice cream bars. Easy peasy!
Joel opened some presents, all of which perfectly fit his current interests. I made Joel a pillow. He has warmed up to it faster than that blanket we tried putting in his crib, but he definitely still put up a fight. I also made him a book, click here to view it.
Ava was most certainly passed around!
We had the party at Cort and Randy's new house. They had an open house immediately following Joel's party.
After the party our dear friends, better known as Team Hemphill, came over to play and have dinner. We've had lots of dinners squished around this table. We really don't fit.
It finally was time for good-byes.
What a long and fun birthday he had! Can't believe he is 2!

Happy 2 Joel!! Our babies are big boy brothers now! Hard to imagine how time flies. Love all the moments you capture. :)
