The park lately

  We have been finding ourselves at the park a lot lately.  Well, not yet yesterday since it was a torrential downpour day.  I have a whole other blog post about yesterday and a picture to go along with it.  Anyway, here is Hannah at our favorite park to go to after the Sunnyvale Farmer's Market on saturdays.  They have a great rock wall that she was very proud of conquering on her own.

 

Ava went in a swing for the first time.  She loved it, as all my kids have.

 

  On Tuesday, we walked to the park for lunch after school and one of Hannah's classmates was there too.  This isn't just any ole classmate, this is her buddy that makes her get a little flush in the face when she talks about him.  In her words, "He begs and begs for me to chase after him every day at recess."  I believe it, as soon as he saw her at the park he ran over and said, "I know you're going to chase me."  They played chase the entire time we were there.

 

  Before you knew it, Calvin was in on it too.  They had the little brothers (Joel and Hannah's friend's little bro) be the "monsters" and the big kids ran away from them.  They had a blast and talked about the monsters the rest of the night.

 

  The kids will continue to get to go to the park a lot because my dad is in town.  He hadn't been here a minute before they asked him if he would take them to the park.  It is soooo nice when he takes them.  This morning I was able to do something I otherwise can't when the kids are around, I vacuumed the whole house and cleaned/organized each of their rooms.  Wow, that needs to happen more often.  :/
