These days (photo dump)

Nothing particularly exciting has been going on down here lately.  When we are all not feeling well and consequently tired, the days are long and patience is short.  It really feels like you are stuck in a rut.  I'm hoping to get some energy back soon and regain my zeal for some adventure.  Right now, I feel like curling up in a ball, reading a book, and sipping chai tea.  If that's you right now, curl up and enjoy some random pictures from our past week.

The kids have been playing "doggie" since Slater Dawg's visit.  Calvin is almost always the initiator and asks you, "Do you want to be the person and I be the doggie?"  Here he is in his kennel, chewing on his bone (Hannah made that part of the game up).  Hannah is a good "owner," but I had her beat when she was at school and I gave the doggies treats.  Haha, I still crack myself up with that one.

He is OB-SESSED with stickers.  That and puzzles.

We still do our CrossFit workouts in the garage after the kids go down.  This is Mike's sweaty shirt imprint left on the ground after a tough WOD.  Look at me, I am starting to use the terminology.  Actually, that is not as telling as me picking at my calluses on my hands.  Oh my gosh, all CrossFitters do that and it is SO annoying and gross to me!!  When I first did it, I literally told myself to stop out loud.

This activity kept him busy for days.

I often find her like this in the mornings now.  So cute!

Hannah reads stories to Ava and the boys all of the time.  Who needs me anymore?!?!

When I was looking back through old pictures of Hannah as a baby, there were a lot of these shots.  As if I didn't take enough pictures already, I had to make sure I had some of these of Ava too.

Where's Joel?

This boy never ceases to amuse me!

Calvin is so good at writing his letters and name now.  He did this all by himself!  I'm so proud.

He is too!!

Every night around 7 p.m. the kids get a treat.  No, not a doggy treat.  Haha.  They get to pick out something sweet after cleaning up a bit.  Joel always picks M&Ms and we put them in his pocket.  He tells us about each one until they are all gone and it is So. Stinking. Cute.

So, it was raining today.  Like, for real Seattle rain.  Like, I didn't want to go outside at all.  Anyway, the kids found them for me and they were dirty!  Next thing you know, I walk out to the kitchen to find the kids scrubbing my rain boots for me.  It was a sudsy mess.  They actually did a good job though, I thought for sure the insides were going to be soaked, but they weren't!

The rain is also why I want to curl into a ball.  And it happened on the day I planned a Costco trip.  :/  I made the trek out anyway, and lucky for me the rain cleared for a bit.  Hope you are staying warm and dry!  Have a great Thursday!
