Number 4

Happy Birthday to my widdle boy, Calvin!  He is 4 today and we are going to be happy as we celebrate!  I say that because we've been telling him the past few weeks that on his birthday we are going to  say, "HAPPY Birthday!" and then immediately start crying.  Calvin will forever be 3 years old to me.  At least that is how I always want to remember him.
His big eyes.
His sweet smirk.
His crazy energy and dancing.
His silliness and giggles.
His kisses and cuddles.
His lisp.
His shyness.
His fears of spiders, lions, and crabs.
The way he always follows the rules.
His desire to always be by my side and never go to school because he'll cry. (His words, not mine)
His easy to please personality.
His emotional attachment to his daddy.
The way he looks up to his daddy.
His love for his brother and sister.
His compassion for those who are hurting or are in need.

I just love this little guy.

I found a number of pictures of him from the past few weeks.

You might think he wears his Seahawks jersey everyday.  That is almost true.  Or it is that I only take pictures on days he wears it.  :)  I am excited he is getting my money's worth out of it, however, I do have to say no to him when that jersey is going on 3 days.  I mean I've got a lot going on to always notice two days in a row, but that third day I start catching on.  :)

This is from his 4 year check-up yesterday (you can see those shy and timid eyes).  He is still little on the scale, but I can't even fathom how big he has gotten in the past year.  From riding his bike, writing his letters, singing songs, to telling me about what he learned in Sunday school as well as actually talking to the teacher, he has matured leaps and bounds.  I'm so proud to be his Mama.
