First day of school
Yesterday was Hannah's first day of school. I can't believe summer is over, but here we are.
She had a wonderful day. She kept saying, "I loved it." I am excited about her teacher. She taught kindergarten last year and Hannah was very confused about her being the 1st grade teacher, as well as which play structure they would be using. All is well, she doesn't have to use the kindergarten playground. That was so last year.
This wittle big boy started preschool today. If you asked me on sunday, I would have told you I was terrified. Yesterday, I was on the fence. This morning, after a final pep talk from the daddyo, I had great confidence.
He seemed to enjoy his time. I guess he became more of an observer than participant towards the end of class, but in due time he will feel comfortable. I would call today a success.
And to celebrate the beginning of school, as per tradition, we're going out for ice cream tonight. If we weren't going out for the kids, I might choose a treat more on the adult beverage spectrum...I need to relax and unwind. Better yet, a massage. All of this change is making me into a ball o' stress. Can't wait til we get the rhythm down!
