2015 family pics

  While we were up in Seattle and the entire family was in town, we had family pictures done by our friend and photographer at Claire Gilfillan Photography.  She's done many of our shoots, most recently was Ava's newborn shots that I blogged way back.  She does such a great job and we are always very happy!  Thought I'd share a few of our fam from that night.

  It is kind of stressful getting everyone's outfits thought out and/or bought and ironed, making sure all of the kids are happy and WELL-fed, meanwhile getting yourself photo worthy.  However, when it all works out in the end (all they need is a split second smile) it is SOO worth it.  Pictures by Claire and our other friend, Bryn, from last year are plastered all over our house!  They are obviously professional, but they look very casual and natural versus manufactured.  And these moments when the kids are tiny (yet with large personalities, you know what I'm saying...) are fleeting.  I guess all that to say is to encourage you to get them done.  There are budding photographers everywhere, so you have no excuse!  As my friend turned photographer who is also amazing said, "Photo-taking is the new sewing or macrame....just the creative outlet of our generation."  So so so true, huh?
